Meet The Team
Senior Pastor – Pete Miller

Pete was born in Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, VA, to a Marine Corps father who was also an Assemblies of God pastor and a mother who led worship. Growing up in the church, he felt God’s calling in high school but initially ran from it, joining the Army for five years. After his service, he enrolled at Southeastern University in 1992, stepping into the ministry God had placed on his life.
Pete met Pam at Southeastern in 1993, and they married in 1995. Both are ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God and have been in full-time ministry ever since. They have three children—Ashleigh, Hannah, and Ryan—and two grandchildren, Lakelynn and Grayson.
Pete has coached football, softball, soccer, and track, ministering to students on and off the field. His ministry philosophy: “Create a place for people to meet Jesus by being Jesus right where you are.” When not at church or sports fields, he’s often out in the community connecting with people.
Pete and Pam love the beach, the mountains, nature, and time with their dog Ozzy. They are excited to join the Macomb Assembly family and welcome anyone without a church home to join them in “Authentically Pursuing Christ Together.” As Pete says, “Life is full of twists and turns … let’s navigate it together.”
Associate Pastor – David Keck
David is a Macomb native who grew up in the church, where his father served first as youth pastor and later as children’s pastor. He graduated from Macomb Schools and attended Western Illinois University before completing his degree at Southern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX, studying Worship, Children, and Youth Ministry.
After graduation, David and his wife Claire married and served in several area churches before returning home to Macomb. In addition to ministry, David works in the local school district. They have five children: Eleanor, Elizabeth, Everett, Edison, and Elianna.
David and Claire are passionate about serving families and students in their community and love creating spaces where people of all ages can grow in faith and experience God’s love.
